An Unusual Escort

Noah stood up with Endellion just as she did. Grabbing the bag he often carried with him, Noah pulled it over his wide-shoulder, "So you're a shape-shifter of sorts, I assume?" Now that he put his mind to think on it, the pieces did fit together perfectly. The horse and girl both have similar mismatched eyes, and white eyelashes. Why hadn't he figure it out before she told him? This would land a hit on his ego, and push his competitive spirit up.

Remaining calm and collected, his expression revealed little but his usual indifference. Noah ignored her question purposely regarding the dark, and stepped closer so that he was face to face with Endellion, "So what exactly are you trying to find?"

Noah let his mind wander abit. He was friendly to a horse. More friendly than he would be to a human, but now it turned out that the horse can take on the shape of a human. It's even worse that it's a female. Noah felt his temper boiling inside, but he held it in check with his firm discipline. He would not let her have the satisfaction of knowing that this affected his emotions.

She blinked in some surprise as he stood up at the same time as her and even picked up his bag "Nede, I was saposed to go there, Probably wont get there in any timely fashion though so I'm not too worried about it." Endellion shrugged as she walked to the door and opened it, walking threw she left it open for him saying "I guess you could call me a shape-shifter of sorts, of course considering i can shift to most any natural form of being I don't know if the 'of sorts' part is really needed.

"What about yourself, where are you heading? You never did say?" She did not know anything of his borderline hatred of females. In fact she likely would have been questioning why if he had told her anything of his dislike for females. She stepped out away from the tavern and stopped before looking to the sky to judge what the weather would be like.

Well, isn't that abit rude. She asked a question, then walked out on him. Noah shrugged it off and followed behind her, breathing in the fresh air, "I've traveled to Nede before. It's a good place to visit. It has a hospital and tea-shop. Both are run by capable people, though the nin is rather ... bizarre." Noah thought of how he had to run away from the nin when he snuck into her room one day. A nin? Hah'. A ninja in training, is what it means. But from the way the lady acted, she seemed more like a nun. A part of him kind of remembered how he had torn off the doorknob, aswell. Good times, good times indeed.

"I will take you there." As a member of the Aenied council, he considered it priority to show people around, though he didn't really like to seem lke a tour guide. Noah disliked servicing people, period. He was his own person, fierce and strong, and his own leader. The only cause he would be servicing is Aenied, and that's hardly a person. Noah glanced towards the west, "That is the direction of Nede." Noah walked towards that direction without a glance at her, as if confident that she would follow.

"Where are you from, anyhow?"

She had been certain he would follow, and he did. She smiled because of this. Listening to him as he spoke and laughing some as he called the nin bizarre. She blinked as he offered to take her there, she looked surprised and as he showed her which direction it was she murmered "Oh.. Glad you said something or I would have ended up south." she spoke softly and followed him as he walked westwards without saying anything, that was likely her cue to follow afterall "North.. Go as far north as you can untill you run into mountains the travel east and theres a small town I'm from in that area.. They are sorta clustered together actually.."

She then smiled and lept forwards, past him. As she lept her body shimmered and the flesh changed its shape, she landed on tough pads and then bounded forwards The panther like creature had black fur but still had the white eyelashes and the different colored eyes as it stopped and looked at him, Issuing a low growl, lifting its upper lip on the left side as she did so. Then turned and bounced into the air returning to her human form just as quickly as before, she felt the effects of changing twice so quickly but it was all in good fun and playfulness.

Noah thought for a moment. Far north, then east. Noah has not been around that area much, though he had no doubt that there would be small towns there. The land of Aenied is quickly getting filled up with inhabitants of all sorts. He had his bag slung over his shoulder, and lowered his gloved-hands, tucking them neatly into the pockets of his denim, "Tell me about your town." Noah was curious. Would the town be like the busy Nede? Or would it be quiet and peaceful, just how he liked it?

As Endellion shifted forms before him, Noah watched her intently with his dark orbs. He wondered how it would be like, to run like a horse across the lands. How would it be like to feel the breeze ruffle your fur, and the ground beneath your four legs? Noah had no such skills. He had others, though those skills were more sponetanous, and harder to tame. He thought of when it last used, and caused a large streak of his hair to turn white. Ever since then, more of his hair lost its dark hue and became white with the passing of time. Maybe it was some sort of defect that made his hair lose color prematurely. How bizarre.

Endellion smiled to him as she walked with a lively step "Its small, the people there are not particularly fond of magic users although tolerant. There is a massive lake that they are centered around so of course its a fishing community.. It was nice.. But just too dull for me." She smiled some as she slowed her walk to walk along side him, Watching him threw her blue eye without bothering to turn her head "I am surprised that you offered this even with knowing of what I am." She lifted her eyes to the sky and the passing of the mildly Grey clouds. Shifting her form felt natural to her, although she could feel the basic instinct of the form she took on she never had lost herself to the mind of the form. As a horse she felt an instinctive dislike for predators, like wolves and even dogs, although she knew what it was when she felt it.

Being able to smell the faintest of scents, as a horse, and even a dog she could pick up everything from lies to anger, to depression. and fear she could smell in most of her forms, after knowing it so long she could sense it as good as she could smell it. "Are you from Nede?" She asked softly and tilted her head some.-

Noah watched her through his keen optics intently. He thought of his hometown, and a slight flame flared up inside like. It felt something like anger. Noah shook his head, "No, I am not. I am from another land called Eden." He made gestures in the air, as if trying to demonstrate what he was saying, "It is a dangerous land. You would walk out of your homes and off somewhere, and creatures of all sorts would lunge at you. Compared to Aenied, it is Hell."

Noah's arms fell back to his side, "I am a member of the council of Aenied. They are the group that helps balance out this land. It is priority to help those I can." He paused, "Don't think I am doing it for you. I am never kind." With that said, Noah walked ahead of her. "You like thrill, don't you?" Noah said this spontaneously, and watched her through the corners of his eyes. Noah, too, liked thrill. Things that're too plain bore him immensely. But then again, who is he to assume she likes thrill as he does? From experience, he saw most women to be weak, incapable, and generally, failures. What would make her any different than he saw in so many woman, aswell as his own mother? Noah almost twitched at the thought.

She listened to him, trying to imagine such a place where monsters would try to lunge for your throat simply leaving your home to go somewhere. It did not sound like an inviting place in the slightest. She was silent as he spoke of being a council member and her mouth curved in the shape of an o "Ohh... Alright." She rolled her eyes to the side some, he sure hadent acted like he was an unkind person the night before. As he asked a question she nodded some "Yes, Whats not to like. Whats not to love?"

Her eyes focused on him ahead of her and then she quickened her step to walk beside him not behind. She had seen others use slight things like that as seeing themselfs above others, and she had even seen others have silent arguments in such a way. Perhaps that was his intention, perhaps not, she would rather not wait to find out. "What about yourself? Have you any love for thrill?" Her eyebrows rose curiously as she wondered how one could not love thrill comeing from such a homeland as his, or at least have some longing for it.

Noah turned his head to look at Endellion as she caught up with him. Her question made him think, and so he thought for a moment. He thought of the mass slaughters, and the bodies on the ground after each war. Then the land crumbling away, when people were fleeing it... No, Noah didn't think that was thrilling. There is a healthy thrill, and one that is not. Eden had a very unhealthy thrill indeed when he was there, "This world is full of people who're too boring. Something should happen that will wash a person away, sweeping them in tides of adventures."

Noah was reminiscing quietly, but not exactly nostalgic. There was nothing to miss about Eden, though he did hear that before he was even born, it was a glorious place. But he wasn't there to witness its great glories. How unfortunate. No one would want to live in a place that took away something they valued. No one would.

Endellion smiled softly, she would not say so but each time she ran as a horse, racing the wind, challenging it for who was fastest. She felt a rush, and not of air. She loved it, if her body would not tire and the road would not run out she would have long ago taken to running until she reached the edges of the world simply for the thrill of finding what she could. She watched him "Mmn... boring hrm? Yes the place I am from is very boring, too many there like it that way, they don't like unexpected things, one reason they aren't too friendly about any form of magic. Too many unexpected things happen when it is used.

Shaking her head at the thought, her abilities were not so randomly dangerous, even if she were to change unexpectedly, whether controlled by emotions or otherwise she still had to move her own body to attack unlike magic which sometimes could randomly create and explosion by a simple flux in the users emotions.

"Magic..." Noah's words trailed off, and his mind raced far away. He remembered back when someone transformed into a monster of sorts, and a strange ability found itself upon him. Noah lifted a hand, curling a strand of white hair in his mostly dark hair with a finger. His hair started changing colors when the magic first happened, and it's been happening since, uncontrolled and difficult to understand truly. Even after figuring out where it came from, Noah wasn't able to contain and use the power at will. It just came as it wants ...or in some very extreme situations.

"Too many unexpected things can be disasterous." Noah knew that from experience. Too much of a good thing is never good, no matter how great it was to begin with. Noah learnt to value an equilibrium, though it would often leave a person gasping, dissatisfied, for more of something that they should never have wanted more of.

Endellion looked at him as he spoke one word, magic. What dealings did he have with it she wondered as she watched him lift his hand to curl a strand of white among his mainly dark hair "You know, I shouldn't be one for saying anything but you having such white hair among that dark doesn't look completely normal." He spoke of unexpected things being disastrous, they were not always as such she considered silently.Mismatched eyes falling to the ground after a moment.

"So what sort of place is Nede? Is the food there good? What about the weather... Is it often cold and rainy or warmer?" She smiled, changing the subject swiftly, "I am rather looking forwards to getting there, Its near the ocean right? I haven't seen such before, I think one of the first things I'll do is fly over it to get a good view of it all, There are birds called gulls made for that very purpose correct? I will try one of them once I have laid eyes on one.. I was told they have webbed feet like a duck so it should be a fairly creature to become, Although.. I don't think they have black gulls do they? It will be awfully out of place won't it?"

Noah glanced over to Endellion, and paused, unsure of how to answer. He had the face of a young, good-looking man. But some of his hair is white, which is indeed bizarre. Noah lifted his brows, "Yes, it is strange." That was all he had to say for now regarding his hair. It's not a topic that he often brought up just for anyone. Stories of all sorts have been started, but only a few knew the genuine story.

Noah noticed her changing the topic, and suavely did the same, "The food is decent. There are varieties. It is often warm, though it does rain sometimes." Noah imagined the map of the land in his mind, "To the east, there is Nede, and farther east, The Docks, with the lake and such. Around there area, there is a farm mainly for selling Marijuana. Noah thought of the two bizarre owners, and almost laughed out loud.

"You will like it here. There are many places to visit, and people of all sorts to meet."

-She nearly laughed at how openly he went with the change of the topic, Smiling brightly as she listened to him "Mm.. That so? I want to try as much of it as I can then! Particularly the sweet stuff!" She Considered what sort of sweet foods there were "Oh and fruits, I want to try one of each at least! And probably more than that if I find something I like." She looked up to the sky, she had seen lakes and the like from on the wings of a bird but never a endless amount of water. The thought of everything made her cheerful on its own, She had learned it was also very salty smelling, although how any creature could live in such salt she wasn't sure.

"I hope so, It really sounds like a interesting place." She replied softly and then continued "I hope it is worth traveling for. No... I know it will be!" She shook her head slightly, silken black strands flying as she did so.

"I have not been there for awhile." Noah's head lifts to the sky, and memories once more flood his mind. He remembered when battles broke out in Nede, and it became necessary to protect the city. Even in Aenied, wars would break out, though they are often resolved by the M.I.A. Council, or a group of willing fighters. Even Noah couldn't resolve most of it on his own, though he had the position of leader the Executive branch, which meant his priority was to look over the people.

"I doubt it has changed much, though." Noah paused, then a thought raced through his mind, "Hey, can you change to anything you want, and possess its abilities?" Noah was curious, and he had an almost mischievous look in his eyes.

She nodded a little bit "Well, Big places like that don't normally change to terribly quickly do they?" As she thought on this, even smaller places like where she had been from did not change from old ways to new quickly, if one fisherman started using something that caught more fish it would still be a year or so before the rest accepted it, and possibly longer before they used such things on a regular basis. As he asked his next question her eyes turned to him and blinked as she considered what had been asked. "Well.. Just about any living being.. No plants or anything.. I don't particularly like fish either.. really I'm not too fond of anything small, but birds that is.. Why? Oh and it helps if I can see a accurate drawing or see the thing in question in person."

The look in his eyes worried her as she considered what he was wanting for her to try. As her eyebrows rose they pulled to the center and her brow wrinkled softly. There were many creatures she had changed into, even been hunted before as a doe before she changed to a snake and coiled up in a hollowed tree stump. Shaking her head at the memories she asked "What are you thinking of?"

"Far to the east, where The Docks are, is a farm. It is protected by flame-breathing lions. The two owners are quite interesting people, and I was thinking that you should pay them a visit after Nede. But, " Noah almost smiled, and there was an excited twinkle in his eye, "The challenge is, what would happen if we tried to sneak in and bypass their lions?" Noah lifted a hand to scratch his chin, and lifted his brows thoughtfully.

"You like thrill, do you not?" Noah paused for a moment, turning to face her. His eyes peered into the depths of hers, and a tinge of blue seemed to appear in his optics, before the hue was replaced by the usual dark brown. Noah turned away and continued walking, before seeing a light up ahead. It must be Nede. Noah remembered his last adventure here, and walked just a tad faster. "Where do you want to stop first?" Noah glanced over his shoulder once at Endellion, and there was that same excited, youthful look on his face before it disappeared behind his usual composure and stern expression.

As Endellion listened to him she tried to imagine such as lions that could breath fire, what an amazing creature it must be! It truly would be something she would wish to try and become, as he spoke of the challenge she smiled some. Her eyes focused on him as she considered this, seeing the blue tinge for only a moment, perhaps her imagination or a reflection of the sky. As he continued walking she still stood there considering it all before his voice awoke her from her thoughts and she bounded in light hops and widely set steps to him nearly running into him as she cheerfully spoke "I definitely want to go there! Of course I like thrill, you already knew that!" She smiled as she moved to walk by him, matching his pace, not because of anything happening in the area but because she was cheerful and excited about the very idea of seeing such creatures that could breath fire, and even trying to sneak past them.

"How much farther is Nede? Not too far surely?"Endellion asked Noah and considered changing to a horse just for the faster pace of it all. "It sounds like a fun place."

Noah reached Nede, and turned to face Endellion. His arms spread wide in a sort of welcoming fashion, "This is Nede. One of the most popular towns of Aenied." Noah slipped inside, slowing down every so often so that she could catch him with him easily. "I have a place to visit first. It shall be quick, I promise." Noah truly had a place he wanted to visit her, to pick up an item that he left when he last came to this place.

People of all sorts walked past them, and buildings lined the area. Noah remembered this place well. He wondered if anyone would remember him from here. It's only been months since he last was here. Maybe they would. That would be grand, indeed. Noah almost smiled.

[Exit to Nede]

She smiled as he spoke, it was quite obvious that they had reached Nede. "Thank you for your most wonderful welcoming.." She followed him, he had rather decided to take up a faster pace. As they passed shops she saw the occasional unknown creature that caught her interest and kept her walk constantly slowing for a few moments. As he spoke she lifted her head away from everything and nodded softly "Alright.. I'll wait for you.." She smiled some and then she turned away towards a building, It was only a moment that it took for her to change her form, glossy black feathers cut threw the air as she pushed down with raven's wings and landed upon the edge of one building, cocking her head to the side as she perched there she turned her gaze to watch all that was happening below. She was just as curious as the type of bird she had become.

She couldn't help but feeling a small bit shy of everything,that was a bit of why she had perched up high. The other part being that she was wanting to not miss a moment of anything happening. As she pulled one foot up into her feathers she considered about the lions, the possibility of becoming one and breathing fire, of coarse that was if she could figure out how to do so. Unless it was instinct for the lions she wasn't sure she could do it.
